1. Workshops, Dock & Working Areas:
South China Shipyard (SCS-JM) has a vast territory with its building area of shipbuilding workshops and auxiliary installations reaching approximately 40,000M². The shoreline for the yard area is up to 400M long while the outfitting dock is up to 300M long. It also has plenty of green plants that create the pretty and comfortable working environment. Besides, SCS-JM has shipbuilding workshops with complete supporting facilities, including one five-storey office building / one large-scale hull general assembly workshop / two small-scale hull construction workshops / one laying-off workshop / one steel pre-treatment workshop / one hull block structure assembly workshop / one outfitting workshop / one metal workshop / one piping workshop / one electrical shop / one painting workshop / one power station / one dock working station / one mold loft / one galvanizing workshop/ two steel stock areas and six marine equipment stores, etc.

2. Slipway:
Moreover, there are one 150M x 34M & one 150M x 16M longitudinal slipway respectively / one 1000DWT class launching ways/ eastern wharf.

3. Lifting Equipment:
One 360 revolving dock crane of 40 MT(SWL) with the 28M span / one gantry crane of 30 MT(SWL) with the 10M span /two workshop overhead cranes of 30 MT( SWL) with 22.5M track gauge / one dock crane of 5MT(SWL) – with 22.5M span / and the other 18 different grade of load workshop overhead cranes/ one wharf crane.

4. Part of Machineries & Production Equipment:
Two ultrasonic flaw detector of model BXQ2505 / two X-ray defect detectors of model CTS-3000 / five sets of special launching & dry-docking arrangement / over three hundred units of automatic welders, semi-automatic welders, argon welders, CO2 welders and ordinary welders / numerical control cutting machines/ numerical controlled pipe benders / numerical controlled plate benders/ steel plate pre-treatment process line / FB400 tons oil press / 8M plate-cutting machine / plate bending machine / pipe bender / a lathe for maximum machining 8M long shaft/ one 7 tons forklift/ten CO2 gas welding machine/ two sets of -submerged arc welding machine, etc., and the amount of such a great variety of machining equipments is up to nearly a hundred sets.)

SCS-JM & SCS-DR possesses a talented management team and a high quality design and construction team; the former is comprised of senior engineers and professional personnel with high written accounts of education, while the latter are all qualified shipbuilding welders, workers and technicians.

Together with our comprehensive computer design system and workmanship control institution, our experienced and resourceful SCS teams are able to design, produce and /or repair various high quality vessels and marine facilities with our sophisticated shipbuilding workmanship, powerful technical on-site support and high efficiency.



So far, SCS, its affiliated companies and shipyard has designed, manufactured and delivered hundreds of vessels to clients with great achievements over the past years, including cargo ships, multi-purpose work boats, engineering ships, cargo deck ships, offshore support vessels, multi-purpose standby vessels, offshore supply vessels, oil tankers, container ships, firefighting vessels and also ocean-going tugs, multi-purpose ASD tugs, anchor handling tugs, pushing tugs, derrick barges, deck barges, split hopper barges, etc. Please refer to the below “SCS’s Recent Accomplishment List” for more detail.

The lately-delivered vessels included several multi-purpose offshore work boats which have been sold to clients from Italy, Singapore and the Netherlands respectively; two split hopper barges delivered to a Belgium client; and three multi-purpose ocean-going tugs sold to an Indian, a South Korean and a Chinese buyers respectively, all of which have gained high praises from our clients.
